Now that I’ve had my iHeater 100 for a few weeks now, I thought I should add my personal review to the many existing iHeater Reviews. In my previous blogs I’ve mentioned most of my likes and dislikes about the iHeater and the EdenPURE (and a few other space heaters as well). I’m just going to sum it all up in this final (we’ll see if it’s really my final review) iHeater review.

Like I previously mentioned in an earlier blog post, I became aware of the iHeater line of space heaters while searching on the internet a few months back. I researched the pros and cons of the iHeater and many of its competitors like the EdenPURE or Amish handmade heaters. What I was able to deduce was that the iHeater gives you the most heat and reliability for your dollar.

I was very happy to experience the dramatic reduction in my heating bill this month. We’re not crazy with the central air to begin with so we didn’t have the 50% decrease in our bill but I have had about a 30% decrease over last month’s bill. I’m very happy with that. That’s like getting a free month of heating every 3 months.

iHeater offers 3 different models, the iHeater 1500, iHeater 1000, and the iHeater 365. The iHeater 1500 has 3 different modes that allow you to heat smaller rooms or you larger living areas. The iHeater 1000 covers about 1000 sq. feet of your home, business, whatever. I love mine. The safety features are top notch in my opinion. The iHeater 1000 (and the other models as well) are safe to touch when they’re turned on and heating. If for any reason the iHeater gets knocked over it will shut itself off. There are no exposed hot coils that can catch on fire like the really cheap space heaters you find at Wal-Mart or Costco.

The iHeaters are also much less expensive than its two main competitors, the EdenPURE and the handmade Amish heaters. The Amish heaters are obviously the most expensive and the EdenPURE is right behind it. The iHeater 1000 that I got was about $200 less than the comparable EdenPURE model. I also really like how the iHeater heats my home. It uses infrared instead of electric heating coils which heats my house more evenly from the floor to the ceiling. I also love that it doesn’t dry out the air in my home. Dry air really bothers me in my advanced age and it leaves the air full of oxygen and the natural moisture from my climate.

Another feature that put the iHeater above the others is that it’s very portable. It has rollers on it and it saves me from carrying the iHeater from the bedroom out to the living room every morning and then back to the bedroom at night.

So all in all and pound for pound the iHeater simply takes the cake when it comes to quality space heaters. I honestly love my iHeater 1000. I’m happy I bought it and I use it daily. It’s safe for my dog Rudi-Bell and safe for my grandkids when they come over and visit us. It’s easy to move around the house and it actually heats my house very well. Rob here once again, blogging today about the iHeater Consumer Reports. I was on YouTube the other day and I saw a review video for the iHeater 1000 and I noticed in the comments below the video that people were giving their personal review of the iHeater.

There were so many great things said about the iHeater 1000 that I wondered if what people were saying on YouTube was the same as what people were saying on the consumer reports.

When my Dad called back he gave me the scoop on what Consumer Reports has to say about the iHeater. He said that it was hard to find at first since there were more reports on the EdenPURE but when he read the comments under the article people were saying that they had problems with the EdenPURE breaking down within thirty days and having to get one or multiple replacements.

My Dad then said that a lot of people have switched to the iHeater brand space heaters. I hadn’t told my Dad that I bought an iHeater 1000 yet so it was good to hear that people were pleased with their iHeaters; as am I. He also told me that people were reporting that the iHeater does what it claims to do. It heats up rooms/houses well and really does reduce peoples heating bills.

When I told my Dad that I had an iHeater 1000 he asked me if I liked it. I told him I did and I told him that it was safe for our dog, Rudi-Bell, to be around. My Mom has a few cats and my Dad gets nervous when they play or sleep near their electric radiant heater because the coils are exposed and are “protected” by a very porous cage. In fact, he’s used it to light candles and other random things if he doesn’t have his lighter nearby.

The iHeater has been great for my wife and me and when I told my Dad about it he said he would look into getting one. I hope he does. The $20 heater he got at Costco isn’t very safe; especially for clumsy old people and very hairy cats.

So there you have it. People all around the internet, YouTube, Consumer Reports, etc seem to like their iHeaters. What was funny to me was to read the articles that said “don’t buy an iHeater until you read this” or “iHeaters are a scam. Read this before getting one” because when you read the article it actually is an advertisement FOR the iHeater. The internet makes me smile sometimes.

For those of you who are looking for a space heater that’ll heat more than 1000 square feet I would recommend the iHeater 1500. My iHeater 1000 showed up this week and I love it. There are a lot of great features on the iHeater 1000 that are also on the iHeater 1500.

Like the name of the heater indicates, the iHeater 1500 will heat an area up to 1500 square feet. That’s pretty impressive especially when I compare that to my house which is 1850 square feet. In this quick review for the iHeater 1500 I wanted to give you some of the basics of what the iHeater 1500 has to offer and the great safety features.

Another great feature that I like for the iHeater 1500 is the way that it creates the heat. It’s very efficient and very quiet. I know that I feel the heat really quickly from my iHeater 1000; unlike my central air which seems to take forever to heat anything. The iHeater is safe to touch while it’s on and if it gets knocked or tipped over it will automatically turn itself off to prevent fires. Pretty awesome feature in my opinion.

Most of the features are the same for all three iHeater models but the iHeater 1500 is the one that has the three different/adjustable heating modes for different sized rooms. After getting excited about buying an iHeater, I read about the EdenPURE and I wondered how the pros and cons stacked up with the iHeater vs EdenPURE.

I was about to buy my iHeater 1000 when I stumbled across the EdenPURE website and I wondered how it compared to the iHeater. I honestly didn’t find much information on the official website. The official website was just a place to purchase the EdenPURE. It was pretty frustrating trying to find out information about the EdenPURE since there wasn’t very much info available to consider.

I eventually found a few websites that reviewed the EdenPURE. It wasn’t pretty. One of the reviewers compared the EdenPURE to a hairdryer. I don’t know about you but the idea of turning on a hairdryer in the corner of the living room doesn’t sound like a very effective way to heat it up. The other reviews seemed to say the same thing, over-priced and ineffective.

Reading the EdenPURE reviews made me feel good about my decision to buy an iHeater 1000. Since there was so little information available about the EdenPURE I wasn’t sure if it offers the same awesome safety features the iHeater does.

I don’t think that the EdenPURE heater is as portable as the iHeater. For me that’s an important feature. I don’t want to heave a big ol’ heater around the house; I’m an old guy now. I also didn’t see anything stating that the EdenPURE turns itself off when tipped over like the iHeater does.

One of the reviews I read compared the EdenPURE to the Amish space heaters and the review for both products wasn’t very impressive. I was surprised because I assumed the Amish made high quality products. The complaints about the Amish heaters were based more on price than anything else. I guess if you want to pay extra for a handmade Amish heater then it’s not a terrible option.

I don’t want to sound like I’m ripping on the EdenPURE, but the few reviews I was able to find and read were not very optimistic or positive. The EdenPURE seems to have a few new models coming out but they don’t seem to be much better than the previous models.

I think I’m going to stick with the iHeater 1000. The safety features are what I need, it’s portable with wheels, and it heats my house the way I need a space heater to. Like I mentioned before, there are 3 iHeater models that will help fit most people’s heating needs.

So for me, the EdenPURE doesn’t hold a candle, as they say, to the iHeater. I guess the iHeater is the definite winner when you match up the iHeater vs EdenPURE.

Rob here writing my first review about the iHeater and the possible iHeater Scam out there. With winter here and Christmas around the corner, getting a portable space heater is a must for a lot of us.  I know that I need a portable space heater for many reasons. One, I need to try and save as much money as I can this winter and two, there’s no way I’m wearing one of those silly snuggie blankets.

That’s plenty for what I need since it’s portable and I’ll be moving it from the living room and the bedroom. All the kids are gone so it’s just my wife and I who need to stay warm this winter.

The other 2 models are pretty cool too. There is a larger iHeater, the iHeater 1500, which heats up to 1500 square feet of space. The other model, the iHeater 365, is a cool combo of a heater, humidifier, and air purifier. Both of these two iHeater models might fit your personal needs better and I think they’re a quality product.

The iHeater 1000 that I think will work best for me has a few safety features that are a must. Actually, all of the iHeater models have these safety features. The iHeaters are safe for kids, in my case grandkids, and pets. We’re expecting the kids and grandkids this Christmas so it’s nice to know that the iHeater is safe to touch so my kiddos and chocolate Lab, Rudi-Bell, don’t accidentally burn themselves. Also, if the dog or grandkids knock over the iHeater it will automatically turn itself off so it doesn’t catch the house on fire.

I’m also happy that it rolls. I’m not getting any younger and I wasn’t looking forward to lifting and carrying a heater back and forth between the bedroom and living room. I’m excited to get the iHeater 1000 especially now that I know there is no iHeater scam.

All the hype about the iHeater and all the reviews had made me curious, but I am not one to be easily influenced by reviews or hype.  It is easy to get a one-sided view about a product.  Still, I need to look for ways to save on my heating bill this winter without having to suffer the discomfort of feeling cold all the time, so I was thinking about getting an iHeater.

Drafty windows and cold floor be gone

The fact that I am actually taking the time to post an iHeater review is a clear indication as to just how amazing these little gems are.  I don’t tend to post comments on products no matter how much I like or dislike them.
